Dr. Robert C. Verhelle
Dr. Robert C. Verhelle is a licensed endodontist who has been in private practice for 28 years in Hickory, North Carolina. He has treated over 20,000 patients, including generations of family members in his local and surrounding communities since 1995. Prior to establishing his private practice in Hickory, Dr. Verhelle taught Endodontics as an Associate Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, 1994-1995 and was in private practice in Jacksonville/Wilmington, North Carolina from 1992-1994. His education and training include earning a Bachelor of Science (Psychology/Pre-Med) from Michigan State University 1985, Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) University of Michigan 1989 and completion of a two year hospital based Endodontic Clinical Residency at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York 1991.
In his spare time, Dr. Verhelle enjoys riding dirt bikes, photography and travel in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, along with family and friends in search of good food and music.
Dr. Verhelle's practice principles are as follows: "I focus on the belief that skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. As a dental professional, I strive on staying up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me and my staff. Based on my years of experience, I understand the importance of spending a great deal of time listening to my patients, addressing their concerns, as well as, diagnosing and assessing endodontic cases in order to provide the best course of treatment for each and every patient who comes to our practice.
